On Wednesday, April 9th, the Centre for Nanomaterials, Advanced Technologies and Innovation (CXI) at TUL turned into a creative workshop. We welcomed 7th-grade students from the Sokolovská Primary School in Liberec, who got to try working with 3D printing pens and traditional Czech glass beads provided by Preciosa Ornela.

The children created original decorations for bags, T-shirts, or crop tops. They used not only filament for the 3D pens but also colourful beads, resulting in unique combinations of modern technology and glassmaking tradition. They also made spatial 3D spheres, which will later be adorned with beaded strings – these will become decorative elements of our travelling exhibitions.

We are delighted to have offered the children an inspiring morning where creativity, 3D printing technology, and Czech glass craftsmanship came together. You’ll soon be able to see their creations at our exhibitions – we’ll keep you informed about the dates.
